Modern Method Gunite is proud to offer the largest
and most qualified staff of nozzlemen and finishers
as well as the most impressive fleet of gunite equipment
in the Southwest. Modern Method Gunite has become
the contractor of choice for high profile, time
sensitive gunite projects. We have the expertise
and resources to ensure that projects are completed
as designed, on time and on budget. Providing superior
quality workmanship is one of Modern Method Gunite's
main strengths. Modern Method continually manages
processes to ensure the most effective, efficient,
and reliable work for its contracting customers.
Modern Method Gunite provides Gunite Services,
Pebble Tec® brand pool finishes, Boulder Creation
and Tile Cleaning. These services are provided through
licensed pool construction companies and contractors

Gunite Division
Our experience allows us to set the standard
in the gunite industry. Sand and cement are mixed
dry and conveyed through easily maneuvered hoses.
This enables placement of concrete in the most inaccessible
areas, bonds perfectly with properly prepared surfaces
of concrete, steel, rock, stone, brick or tile and
has good waterproofing qualities even in thin sections.
Gunite applications include swimming pools and spas,
retaining walls, wing walls and bases for boulder
structures. In 2009, Modern Method Gunite is working
on having certified nozzlemen for
all crews.
Our gunite work is always applied over steel
rebar. Gunite does not sag or slump, making it perfect
for sculpting and pool construction. All Modern
Method Gunite pools are shot at a minimum of 3000
PSI, with 6” Walls and Floors, 8” Coves, and 12”
Bond Beam unless otherwise specified. For added
structural integrity of our work, fibers can be
included on request to insure strength and bond.

crews to better serve you.
Pebble Tec® Division
Modern Method Gunite is an officially
licensed applicator for Pebble Technology’s PEBBLE
TEC®, PEBBLE SHEEN® and PEBBLE FINA® brand pool
finishes. These finishes help create the kind of
luxurious, durable pools and spas that provide a
lifetime of inspiration and relaxation, whether
you're building a new pool or remodeling.
Boulder
Creation Division
Through Boulder
Creations, we are able to add custom made waterfalls
complete with slide and grotto, weeping walls, accent
boulders, boulder coping and boulder decking, to
name a few. These Boulder Creations allow for a
more aesthetically pleasing, custom made pool and
have the added bonus of soothing sounds of water
falling. Because these Boulders Creations are custom-made,
we have the flexibility to tailor them to your exact
need and specification. With proper care these Boulder
Creations will be able to last the lifetime of your
pool because they are made with steel reinforcements
and textured concrete. Furthermore, all of our boulder
creation products appear to be life-like because
they are molded from actual natural boulders, with
more strength and support. Our boulders are not
as rough on feet as natural rock.
Bead Blast - Tile Cleaning Division
Modern Method Gunite is proud to announce
our newest service! This service uses a mixture
of sand and glass beads shot at an accurately calibrated
pressure to gently remove unsightly calcium, mold,
mildew and hard water deposits from ceramic tile,
grout, flagstone and natural rock found on waterline,
sheer descents, accent features, decking, ceramic,
porcelain, flagstone, and limestone.
Fleet Management Division
The Fleet Management division is the back
bone of Modern Method which allows us to run efficiently
and on time by providing scheduled maintenance on
over 100 pieces of equipment including: our mixers,
the compressors, the Pebble Tec trucks, individual
crew trucks and all of their components. This division
also hand builds mixer boxes in house with Modern
Method’s unique design. Finally, this division creates
our moving billboards by painting, constructing
and applying innovative designs to all of our equipment.
